Add Poster Image to YouTube, Vimeo Videos in WordPress

After embedding a chromeless YouTube video, now what if we want to replace the frame image with our own poster image? Well, with WordPress 3.9 its just a matter of few clicks and you can change the frame image of the video and put any image as poster image! Step 1 : Suppose you have embedded a youtube video in your page or post using the shortcode :

Step 2: Now, on the visual edit panel if you click on the link of that video, it will appear as shown below. Click on the Pencil icon.

Step 3: You will see the following window. Click on the Select Poster Image option. You can either browse the image from media library or upload an image. Select the image and click on Select Poster Image button. That’s it!

Step 4: Now, you have successfully added an image as poster to your post’s video.

I just added a nice poster image for the above embedded YouTube video and here you can see the same video is looking different.
